Ardor's latest news gains visibility in Chinese media

Ardor’s latest release, v2.5.3, is gaining strong visibility in Chinese media Blockchain Game Portal, following the successful NXT hard fork. This key milestone sets the stage for NXT’s transition into the Ardor ecosystem as a new child chain. Ardor v2.5.3 is a mandatory testnet upgrade, activating the NXT child chain at block 20,200,200 (expected December 15, 2025). The update introduces the NXT mainnet snapshot, network stability improvements, and enhanced platform security. After an on-chain community vote, the NXT migration to Ardor was confirmed. Expected on January 20, 2026, the NXT mainnet will stop forging and a final snapshot will be taken. Approximately at the end of January 2026, the Nxt child chain will launch on Ardor mainnet. This migration revitalizes NXT’s 12-year legacy, bringing its fair distribution and pioneering pure PoS technology into a modern multichain environment with greater security and liquidity, which can be defined as “not the end, but a new beginning for NXT”.
