Please read the announcement at https://www.jelurida.com/news/future-nxt to learn about the planned Nxt migration to an Ardor child chain. Release 1.13.0 implemented this migration for testnet, and as of block 5702880 on Oct 24, 2025, the Nxt testnet is no longer generating new blocks or processing transactions. Release 1.13.1 implements it for mainnet, with hardfork scheduled for Nov 23, 2025, block 5915915.
- Those who forge and support the Nxt migration to a child chain should run 1.13.1 and forge with it.
- Those who run nodes but do not forge should also run 1.13.1, regardless of whether they support the migration or not, since 1.13.1 will switch to the winning fork automatically.
- Only those who forge and are against the migration should either remain on 1.12.3, or run 1.13.0 (zip package, signature). If after the Nov 23 hardfork the version 4 fork prevails, they will have to upgrade to 1.13.1 and redownload the blockchain since 1.13.0 and older will not switch forks automatically.

The Zip and Unix installer packages are signed with the Jelurida GPG Key, fingerprint 73A6 4D78 91CA FF5D 1367 638E C654 D7FC FF18 FD55. The Windows package must have a digital signature by "Jelurida Swiss SA".
