4YFN Awards / MWC 2018: Jelurida and Ardor on a Mission in Barcelona: How was it

23 March 2018

The 4YFN Awards is the startup competition at the 4YFN conference, that takes place during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The event is focused on accelerating business development and the investment in new technologies.

Jelurida was selected as a finalist out of 300 startups to apply and pitched four times in front of a massive tech audience. This got a lot of eyes and ears to know about Jelurida, Nxt, and the Ardor Blockchain-as-a-Service Model!

The team included Lior Yaffe, co-founder and Managing Director of Jelurida, Veronica Torras, Marketing and Business Development, Elizabeth Mong, Director of the Ardor Nxt Group (ANG) (@TheCryptoWoman), and some other valuable members of the community, like Francisco Sarrias (@fsarrias), Alberto Almonte (@almonte), and Joan Manel Vilaseca (@vanbreuk).

The team met up with numerous potential customers for the Ardor and Nxt Blockchain solutions, met numerous tech investors, and exhibited within the innovation market at 4YFN.  Most importantly, Jelurida made it to the final to present on Ardor pitch again at the end of the 4YFN, and also pitched at the Mobile World Congress Conference Innovation session in front of a different audience.

The same week, Lior joined an Expert Panel on The Future of Blockchain for Business, moderated by Veronica Torras. The panel included an expert on legal regulations, Jorge Canta, a Partner of Cuatrecases - an International Law Firm with 27 offices worldwide, and Sunil Bhardwaj, the CEO of Globatalent - a blockchain-based tool for sports clubs and players.

In addition, the Barcelona Ardor Nxt community, including Lior, Elizabeth, Joan Manel, and others in the group since 2013, engaged and chatted with newer members, like Veronica, Noelia, Raquel, Guillem, and other newcomers in a very warm conversation. Albert Argilés, CEO of Cocooking, one of the projects using the Nxt Blockchain, was also there.

Important connections have been made during the week with relevant representatives of the technology and business community and the team is following up in the coming months.
