Nxt version 1.12.0e released as required testnet upgrade

Nxt got a long-awaited update this week with the release of new features and optimizations in Nxt experimental release 1.12.0e. This is a required update for testnet nodes prior to September 1st, though many features will also function in beta on mainnet as well. BlockchainDev1000 launches in Nigeria

The African Fintech Foundry and Blockchain Nigeria User Group have teamed up with Jelurida to launch the BlockchainDev1000 initiative to train and certify 1000 blockchain and smart contract developers. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and Nigerian Communications Commission held the First Digital African Week to bring together stakeholders in Nigeria to discuss the latest developments in information and communication technologies - and the Jelurida Africa team was there to participate.
