From NXT to Ardor: Successful Migration Explained

Nxt has officially entered a new era! On February 1, 2026, at block 4,333,333, the hard fork was successfully executed and the migration finalized. Nxt is now live as a child chain on Ardor, a major milestone for the ecosystem. By moving under Ardor’s parent-child chain architecture, Nxt gains enhanced scalability, long-term sustainability, and access to advanced infrastructure. With the upgrade, Atomic Transaction Chains are now enabled on mainnet, unlocking greater flexibility for developers and users alike. You can explore the live network on the Ardor Peer Explorer. For a clear walkthrough of what this migration means, watch the latest video tutorial of the Ardor Beginners Series. The transition is complete. Nxt continues within the Ardor ecosystem.

Nxt Creation Kit Upgrade: Version 1.13.1 and Updated Licensing

The Nxt Blockchain Creation Kit has been updated to version 1.13.1, aligning it with the latest Nxt software release and ensuring full compatibility with the current ecosystem. This update also introduces an important licensing refinement. Under the revised Jelurida Public License (JPL), any required airdrops must now be allocated based on Nxt child chain balances. This change reflects Nxt’s evolution within the Ardor architecture and ensures fair, transparent distribution aligned with the child chain model. To support this process, the JPLSnapshot add-on, available in Ardor 2.6.0, can be used to take an accurate snapshot of the Nxt child chain when preparing a new blockchain using the Creation Kit. This provides developers with a streamlined and compliant workflow for launching new networks.

VideoTruth Presented at ISE 2026

VideoTruth took the spotlight on February 3, 2026, at Integrated Systems Europe 2026 (ISE 2026), one of the world’s leading events for the professional AV and systems integration industry in Barcelona. Representing the project, Francisco showcased how VideoTruth leverages the Ignis blockchain to verify digital content and prove ownership with immutable on-chain records. Beyond the presentation, ISE 2026 provided valuable networking opportunities, opening the door to new partnerships and future business development.

Ardor v2.6.0 Gains Coverage in Chinese Media

The latest Ardor update to v2.6.0 has drawn attention in Chinese media Defi Intelligence following its mainnet hard fork on February 1, 2026. The release officially completes the migration of Nxt, whose 12-year main chain has now transitioned into a fully operational Ardor child chain. Version 2.6.0 also activates Atomic Transaction Chains on mainnet, enabling secure, all-or-nothing cross-chain operations. This significantly strengthens Ardor’s multi-chain architecture and its ability to support complex blockchain applications. More than a regular upgrade, v2.6.0 represents both a historic transition and a structural evolution for the Ardor ecosystem.
