Nxt 1.13.1 Is Here – Explore What’s New in this Last Version Release

After 12 remarkable years and over 160 software releases, Nxt reaches its final milestone with version 1.13.1, marking the start of its migration journey to a new Ardor child chain. This mandatory upgrade introduces forgers' voting for the proposed migration, officially setting the stage for Nxt's next evolution on the Ardor ecosystem. Upgrade required before block 5915915 (around November 23, 2025). The migration process, successfully tested on testnet, will determine whether the Nxt blockchain transitions to Ardor. If approved, the final snapshot will be taken at block 6000000 (around January 20, 2026), after which the new Nxt child chain will go live on Ardor mainnet. This release also includes the source of the snapshot code (ChildChainSnapshot.java), allowing anyone to verify snapshot balances independently. Thank you, Nxt community, for the incredible journey.
