European SENATOR project employs blockchain, pushes urban freight logistics revolution
UToday: The SENATOR project, backed by the European Commission, aims to revolutionize urban freight logistics operations by utilizing blockchain technology. Jelurida’s Ardor blockchain powers the initiative, enabling the traceability of transactions and cold chain variables, thus supporting the project’s goal to reduce the distance and number of freight delivery routes and improve real-time planning, data provision, and predictive models. Besides, SENATOR ID, a digital identity solution, will be used for individual users, entities (such as IoT devices and vehicles), and legal persons.
